I was born in Palermo, in a house near the botanical garden and not far from the sea. My father worked at the harbour, and I grew up among ships, docks, and the constant presence of water.

Then I chose Turin, where the sea becomes a memory with each passing year, together with the streets I loved in summer and the places I somehow still belong to.

I am interested in working with the materiality of the image, allowing the process to remain partly unpredictable.

Maybe much of my work is simply an attempt to hold on to things a little longer.
